A recent report on waste in health care has pointed to the fact of unnecessary waste in this field, accounting for nearly $850,000,000 due to superfluous care, unsystematic paperwork, and deceit. A sizable reduction in these costs would impact the cost of medical and health insurance. The report highlighted some of the areas that required attention along with remedies to reduce wasteful expenditure in the field of health care.
Duplicate paperwork can be avoided leading to more efficiency by adopting a system of electronic record keeping. Besides multiplicity of reports it also does away with repetitive tests by sharing of information between physicians and other specialists.
Medicare scams and referral commissions account for one quarter of the cost of health care waste. Effective policing and enactment of tougher laws would help curb this menace.
Over-zealous doctors who prescribe excessive antibiotics and unnecessary tests in order to safeguard against malpractice suits can burden the health care system with costs of up to $300 billion per year. Introduction of reforms in this area to curtail the designs of shrewd lawyers would go a long way in cutting costs.
Promote a culture of preventive therapy that would help detect ailments at an early stage, thereby cutting huge costs in treatment of chronic conditions. This alone would result in a saving of almost $50 billion yearly.
Provision and insistence of better training for Doctors and associated professionals would reduce the incidence of mistakes which cost insurers more in repetitive procedures.
These suggestions should necessarily be part of any discussion on reforms in the health care sector.

For old age people who are not able to take care of themselves and it is also not possible for you stay with them all the time. It is difficult to do your work along with it. So in these cases you can do only one thing that hires a health care employee who will work at your home for whole of the day. They care for old people whole day along with doing some small works of the home. they type of work they can do includes all the personal works which a person do it by them selves but for a person who is not able to perform these activities, this work is done by employers.
They also prepare food which is nutritious and recommended for them. They also make them comfortable like if they want to go out, employers will do the same. If you want to hire a worker then there are some agencies that provide agencies. You can directly call them and tell them about your requirement and for which purpose or work you want a worker. The cost also varies according to the knowledge of the employer. If you want a nurse the charges will be automatically more.

Home health care encompasses many different types of health care services which are provided in the patient’s home. This can include visits from nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and nursing assistants. Home health care can mean a one time visit or 24 hour a day care.
The patients who receive health care from home are just as diverse. They can be the elderly who live alone or an infant who is on life support. The goal of home health care is to keep the patient in their own home while ensuring good medical care. This kind of health care reduces overall health care costs since these patients do not have to pay for hospital rooms and services.
Health care services at home may be administered by a local hospital or an independent agency. End of life health care from home is often provided by Hospice. It is important to make sure you hire credentialed home healthcare workers when you are looking for home health care. Healthcare practitioners who provide this service must be fully licensed just like their counterparts who work in hospitals or nursing homes.

Universal health care seems to be a hotly debated topic whenever health care reform in the United States is discussed.
Those who maintain that health is an individual responsibility do not want a system that requires them to contribute tax dollars to support fellow citizens who do not act responsibly in protecting or promoting their own health. They argue that they want the freedom to choose their own physicians and treatments, and suggest that government cannot know what is best for them. These people argue that preserving the current system with improvements to provide better insurance coverage for citizens who remain uninsured or under insured for their medical care needs is the only reform that is needed.
Those who believe health care is an individual right support a universal health care system with the argument that every citizen deserves to have access to the right care at the right time and that a government’s responsibility is to protect its citizens, sometimes even from themselves.

Health Care reform has been a hot item starting prior to the most recent Presidential Election. The Obama Administration, has now moved Health Care Reform to the forefront of their agenda. Regardless of your political affiliation, the obvious facts are that costs have continually increased over the last decade. How should the problem(s) be resolved?
The average person who favors government intervention believes that the reform needed is with Health Insurance. Be careful not to confuse Health Care Reform with Health Insurance Reform. The two issues should be completely different, but it seems the Obama Administration has focused their energies in solving the Health Care Issue by focusing on Health Insurance.
While there have been few specific plans for the administration’s reform, many experts believe that the reform will involve a major involvement from the government. While there are factions in this nation that favor a “Nationalized Health-care System”, there is equal opposition. Unfortunately, the public divide seems to rest within the “class system”. A majority of those families and businesses in the upper-middle to upper class oppose a nationalized system, while the lower-middle to lower class favor a Nationalized Plan.

It may be time to move away from the traditional health care model that some describe as sick-care. In the old model’s place, a new model would emerge. One based on wellness. Individuals would take responsibility for their own health care decisions. In this new paradigm, the Internet would play an important role in providing needed information.
Modern medical science has provided us with unprecedented opportunities for prolonging life, but it is a sad observation these extended years have too often come with little consideration for quality of life or cost. Too often, there has been no emphasis on wellness. There is reason for people to be concerned about health. This concern is for both longevity and quality of life.

Health Care Costs And Governmental Changes
In recent years, the legal system and the medical system have been lumped together under the same umbrella as a result of the fact that the United States is now a suing nation. Every time someone files a lawsuit against a doctor or hospital, health care costs are guaranteed to rise, so think how much all of the lawsuits combined have contributed to the rising health care costs that we are now faced with! Of course, if an individual is suing a doctor or hospital for a legitimate reason then that is warranted, but if they are just doing it to profit or on made up accusations then those individuals are ruining health care for those of us that just want to be healthy and would be grateful to be able to afford an appointment when we are ill. Too often, individuals sue because they get the basic health care standard rather than something that they have not paid for to begin with, and the rest of us have to foot the bill.
Insurance companies also contribute to the rising health care costs. Some insurance companies actually determine the costs of various procedures on their policies and will only pay that set amount out despite the fact that a bill for the medical care received actually totals more. As a result, most people would not be able to pay the bill in full so it would go to a debt collector, which costs money, or written off, which also costs money. As a result, doctors and hospitals put their health care costs up to recoup their losses and we all miss out as a result.
